Volunteer Roles
Whether you are a golfer or not, we have a role for you:
- Course Marshals
- Leaderboards & Mobile Scoreboards
- Caddy Jackets & Walker Scorers
- Shuttle Drivers
- Scores Receivers & Scores Input
- Driving Range & Volunteer HQ

- A chance draw to play in the 2026 New Zealand Open as an amateur.
- A complimentary round at Millbrook Resort* (dependant on your volunteer duration, please see below)
Shifts
In general, volunteers are asked to complete a minimum of four shifts during the Tournament.
Most tasks have an a.m and p.m shift at Millbrook Resort and most volunteers will be required to start early in the morning each day and report to the volunteer HQ area before the start of play.
Clubs "Adopt a hole"
We encourage clubs to bring a group of members and friends together, to “adopt a hole” and make it yours to marshal for the duration of the tournament.
Depending on the size of your group we can allocate you a par 3, 4 or 5 hole. Active ownership of a hole during the tournament can promote club member involvement.
*Volunteer Complementary Rounds:
- Two and Three-day volunteers receive a complimentary round on the Remarkables course at Millbrook Resort.
- Four and Five-day volunteers receive a choice of a complimentary round for either the Remarkables or Coronet course at Millbrook Resort.
- Six and Seven-day volunteers will receive a complimentary round for both the Remarkables and Coronet courses at Millbrook Resort.
