Wooyoung Cho from South Korea is a premier talent on the Asian Tour who has quickly transitioned from a celebrated amateur career to a professional winner. A gold medalist at the 2023 Asian Games alongside PGA Tour stars Si Woo Kim and Sungjae Im, Cho confirmed his potential by capturing his maiden Asian Tour victory at the 2026 Philippine Golf Championship. In a commanding performance at Wack Wack Golf & Country Club, he fired a final-round 67 to win by four strokes.

His professional breakthrough was built on a foundation of success on the KPGA Tour. Even before joining the Asian Tour full-time, Cho had already won professionally as an amateur at the 2023 Golfzon Open in Jeju. He continued that form into the 2025 season, where he recorded a runner-up finish at the Bharath Classic in India and claimed a victory at the Charity Classic on the Korean tour, establishing himself as one of the region’s most exciting young prospects.
