William Bruyeres is an Australian pro from Brisbane who competes on the PGA Tour of Australasia. He achieved his career breakthrough in August 2024 by winning the PNG Open at Royal Port Moresby Golf Club. In an emotional victory, Bruyeres came from five shots back in the final round to win by two strokes. The win held deep personal significance as his late grandfather had lived in Papua New Guinea and was a former champion golfer in the region.
This maiden victory helped Bruyeres finish 30th on the 2024/25 Order of Merit, securing his tour card for the following seasons. In the current 2025/26 season, he has had a quieter start, with his best result being a tied-30th finish in his title defense at the 2025 PNG Open, along with a made cut at the NT PGA Championship.
