Tim Wilkinson is a veteran New Zealand pro who has spent the majority of his career playing on the PGA Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour. Turning professional in 2003, the Palmerston North native firmly established himself on the world’s most lucrative circuits, highlighted by a stellar 2008 PGA Tour rookie season where he recorded a joint runner-up finish at the Valero Texas Open and a third-place finish at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Now in his late 40s and actively preparing for a future transition to the PGA Tour Champions, Wilkinson balances a limited playing schedule with golf broadcasting duties. However, the veteran left-hander continues to prove he still possesses elite shot-making ability. He secured a standout tied-fourth finish at the 2025 New Zealand PGA Championship and recently fired a clutch round at the Race to Tieke to earn a late qualification spot for the 2026 New Zealand Open. At Millbrook Resort, he will make history by remarkably balancing his on-course tournament play with his live television commentary role.
