Turning professional in 2015, Macdonald’s first event in the paid ranks was the Queensland Open that year.
Although not yet reaching the heights of his amateur career, there continues to be signs of the brilliance of his game and showed that things were getting closer with a runner-up finish at this year’s NTPGA Championship and a 5th place at the Gippsland 6’s.
He has been forced to tee it up at the PGA Tour of Australasia Tour school on three occasions and has easily gained or regained his card on each occasion.
