Tatsunori Shogenji from Japan has established himself as one of the premier players on the Japan Golf Tour (JGTO) following a breakout 2025 season. A graduate of Doshisha University, he finished 2nd on the 2025 JGTO Money List, recording two victories and a string of high finishes that vaulted him into the world’s top 200.
His first major triumph came at the 2025 Token Homemate Cup, the season opener, where he won by three strokes. He proved his class again in June by winning the Japan Players Championship by Satosyokuhin, holding off a charging field to win by a single stroke with a final-round 65. Known for his aggressive play, he also recorded runner-up finishes at the prestigious Dunlop Phoenix Tournament and ACN Championship late in the year.
