Suguru Shimoke from Japan is one of the most explosive young talents on the Japan Golf Tour (JGTO), known for his ability to shoot incredibly low scores. A graduate of Osaka Gakuin University, Shimoke first grabbed headlines in 2024 when he fired a historic 59 en route to winning the PGM Challenge on the developmental Abema TV Tour.
He successfully translated that firepower to the main tour during the 2025 season, capturing his maiden JGTO victory at the Vantelin Tokai Classic in October. In a thrilling finish, he closed with a final-round 64 to win by a single stroke. He backed up his breakthrough win with strong performances late in the year, including a tied-3rd finish at the Casio World Open, firmly establishing himself as a rising star in Japanese golf.
