Simon Hawkes is an Australian pro from Tasmania who competes on the PGA Tour of Australasia. He famously achieved his first major career breakthrough at the 2018 Vic Open, where he defeated Harrison Endycott in a sudden-death playoff to claim a “life-changing” victory that secured his tour status for several years.
After battling to maintain his status in subsequent seasons, Hawkes enjoyed a career resurgence in October 2023 by winning the WA Open at Joondalup Resort. He produced a clutch bunker save on the final hole to win by two strokes, claiming his second major domestic title. In the 2025/26 season, Hawkes has remained a competitive presence, recording a solid T12 finish at the Vic Open in February 2025 and a T26 at the NSW Open in November, though he is currently fighting to improve his standing on the Order of Merit.
