Sam Jones is a New Zealand pro who currently plays on the Challenge Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia. Hailing from Taranaki, the left-hander enjoyed a strong amateur career before transitioning to the paid ranks in late 2023. He immediately proved his elite potential by successfully navigating Qualifying School to secure a DP World Tour card for his rookie season.
During his debut campaign in Europe, Jones achieved a major career highlight at the 2024 Soudal Open. He fired a spectacular opening-round 62 that featured a rare albatross, ultimately finishing tied for seventh. After agonizingly missing out on retaining his full premier status by a single stroke at the 2024 Q-School, he pivoted to the Challenge Tour for the 2025 season. He continues to actively contend on the developmental circuit and back home in Australasia as he relentlessly works to regain his place on golf’s top-tier global stage.
