Rikuya Hoshino is one of the better performers in Japan, finishing 7th on the 2018 money list and recording his first ever win on the Japan Tour in what was just his second season. Thsi was followed up by a win in 2019, showing that this young man is one of the bright young stars in Japan. Invited to the Sony Open on the PGA Tour earliy 2019 Hoshino made the cut, further highlighting the quality of his game. In his second visit to the New Zealand Open last year, Hoshino finished T5.
