MJ Maguire is an American professional golfer who has established himself as a winner on the international stage, currently competing on the Asian Tour. A standout collegiate player at the University of North Florida, where he was a multi-time All-American, he turned professional in 2015 and initially cut his teeth on developmental circuits in the United States and Latin America.
Maguire achieved a major career breakthrough in October 2024 by winning the Black Mountain Championship on the Asian Tour. In a dramatic finish, he defeated runaway Order of Merit leader John Catlin on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff to claim his maiden Asian Tour title. This victory was pivotal in helping him finish 6th on the 2024 Asian Tour Order of Merit.
He carried this momentum into the 2025 season, recording several high finishes including a T3 at the Link Hong Kong Open and a T7 at the Mandiri Indonesia Open, solidifying his status as one of the tour’s most consistent performers. Prior to his success in Asia, Maguire proved his winning pedigree by capturing the 2020 Shell Open on PGA Tour Latinoamérica.
