Kyo Morishita is a Japanese pro who primarily plays on the Japan Golf Tour (JGTO) and its developmental circuit, the ACN Tour. Before transitioning to the paid ranks, Morishita enjoyed a highly successful junior and amateur career. Originally from Hyogo Prefecture, he relocated to the United States in 2017 to attend the prestigious IMG Academy in Florida, where he earned Rolex Junior All-America honors in 2021. He later competed collegiately for Iowa State University, balancing his American experience with strong showings back home, including a top-10 finish at the 2021 Japan Junior Championship.
Making the leap to the professional level, Morishita began earning sponsor exemptions and playing status on the Japanese circuits throughout the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He quickly proved his potential by making the cut at marquee tier-one events, highlighted by top-50 finishes at the 2025 ANA Open (T47) and the ACN Championship (T40). Looking to ambitiously expand his international footprint early in his career, he has also begun testing his game across the broader Asia-Pacific region, notably securing a spot in the field for the 2026 New Zealand Open. He continues to relentlessly grind on the domestic circuits as he works to secure full-time playing privileges and climb the world rankings.
