Kerry Mountcastle from New Zealand is a powerful ball-striker and former amateur standout who has become a proven winner on the PGA Tour of Australasia. Known for his “gritty” competitive style and length off the tee, Mountcastle first made headlines by winning the 2018 New Zealand Stroke Play Championship before turning professional and capturing his maiden tour title at the Gippsland Super 6 in November 2023.
His 2024/25 season was one of impressive consistency and near-misses. He finished 19th on the Order of Merit, anchored by two podium finishes: a tied-2nd at the NZ PGA Championship, where he narrowly missed a playoff, and a tied-3rd at the Vic Open. He also showcased his game on the global stage in late 2025, travelling to Scotland for the prestigious Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on the DP World Tour, where he made the cut and finished tied-32nd against a world-class field.
