Josh Edgar from Australia is a professional competitor who currently plies his trade on the PGA Tour of Australasia and its regional Pro-Am circuits. Before shifting his focus entirely to professional touring, Edgar enjoyed a highly successful collegiate career in the United States at Georgia State University. A standout student-athlete, he earned multiple GCAA All-America Scholar honors, recorded one of the lowest single-season scoring averages in the program’s history, and eventually transitioned into an assistant coaching role for the Panthers’ men’s team following his graduation.
During his amateur days, Edgar made massive headlines in 2020 by capturing the Georgia PGA’s Championship at Berkeley Hills. Trailing by three strokes late in the tournament, he fired a spectacular, competitive course-record 12-under-par 60 in the final round to secure a dominant five-stroke victory over a field of seasoned professionals. Since officially returning to Australia to pursue his playing career on his home circuit, Edgar has relentlessly ground through regional qualifying and Pro-Am events to build his professional resume. He notably claimed the 2025 QLD PGA Foursomes Championship alongside partner Cody Davis, and continues to earn starts in tier-one domestic events such as the Webex Players Series as he works to establish himself on the official Order of Merit.
