Profile

Age: 21 years old

Jeffrey Guan from Australia is a highly regarded young talent who currently competes on the PGA Tour of Australasia. Before transitioning to the paid ranks in late 2023, Guan authored a spectacular amateur career, establishing himself as one of the country’s most promising prospects. His early highlights include joining elite company by successfully defending the Australian Boys’ Amateur title (2021 and 2022) and capturing a marquee international victory at the 2022 Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.

In September 2024, Guan reached a major milestone by making his PGA Tour debut on a sponsor’s exemption at the Procore Championship in California. However, just a week later upon returning to Australia, his life and career were abruptly altered during a domestic Pro-Am event when he was struck in the face by an errant golf ball. The severe accident resulted in multiple fractures and the permanent loss of vision in his left eye. Demonstrating immense mental resilience and an unwavering commitment to his goals, Guan adapted his swing and training to overcome the loss of depth perception, remarkably returning to tier-one competition 11 months later at the NT PGA Championship. Competing with a medical exemption, he continues to rebuild his tournament schedule on his home circuit, inspiring the global sporting community as he steadfastly pursues his long-term ambitions on the world stage.
