Jack Thompson is an Australian pro from South Australia who has established himself on the Asian Tour. He first made headlines early in his career by winning the 2021 Gippsland Super 6 on the PGA Tour of Australasia in just his fifth start as a professional. He later earned his place on the Asian Tour by winning the Final Stage of Qualifying School in 2023.
Thompson’s 2025 season was defined by clutch performances under pressure. He recorded a career-best T2 finish at the New Zealand Open, narrowly missing a playoff after a birdie putt on the 18th hole slid by. His season culminated in a dramatic runner-up finish at the season-ending Saudi Open in December 2025. Entering the week ranked 62nd on the Order of Merit and in danger of losing his card, Thompson finished second behind Bjorn Hellgren, a result that vaulted him to 21st on the final Order of Merit and secured his playing rights for 2026.
