Ervin Chang is a Malaysian pro who created history as an amateur by becoming the first Malaysian to win the individual gold medal at the SEA Games in 2022. After turning professional, he initially competed on the Asian Development Tour and domestic circuits, claiming his first professional victory at the Mirai Cup on the Toyota Tour in 2023.
Chang’s 2025 season on the Asian Tour was defined by a clutch, career-saving performance at the season-ending Saudi Open in December. Entering the week ranked 75th on the Order of Merit and in danger of losing his card, he produced a stellar T3 finish, closing with a 68 to vault up the standings and secure his playing rights for 2026. This result capped a strong finish to the year, which also included a T10 at the SJM Macao Open and a T14 at the Link Hong Kong Open.
