Papadatos turned professional in 2012 and soon after finished 3rd at the Perth International at Lake Karrinyup. Playing on the Asian and European Challenge Tour for several years but after gaining partial status to the European Tour in 2019 he ended up playing 16 events and, unable to secure full status, he returned to the Tour School in November where he has again missed full status.
His other wins in addition to the New Zealand Open came when winning the 2017 WAPGA Championship in Kalgoorlie, the 2017 Vic Open at 13th Beach and the European Challenge Tour’s Open de Portugal in 2018.
Perhaps his most satisfying performance came when finishing runner-up to Abraham Ancer at the 2018 Australian Open at the Lakes Golf Club in Sydney. Papadatos moonlighted as a caddy for friend and fellow Australian Andrew Dodt when that player finished 6th at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in 2017.
