Ben Eccles is an Australian pro who competes on the PGA Tour of Australasia. He first made headlines in 2015 when, as a 20-year-old amateur, he famously won the NSW Open, a victory that prompted him to turn professional immediately.
After an eight-year drought, Eccles returned to the winner’s circle in October 2023, claiming his first title as a professional at the CKB WA PGA Championship in Kalgoorlie. In an emotional victory, he won by five strokes, describing the final round as the “most uncomfortable” of his life despite his lead.
In the 2025/26 season, Eccles has remained a consistent presence on leaderboards. He recorded a strong T8 finish at the Vic Open in January 2026 and a T11 at the Victorian PGA Championship in December 2025, solidifying his position as a reliable veteran on the tour.
