Dominic Foos won the SJM Macao Open today to become the first German to win on the Asian Tour since his illustrious compatriot Bernhard Langer 29 years ago.
He defeated Chinese-Taipei’s Wang Wei-hsuan on the second hole of a sudden-death play-off on the iconic par-five 18th at Macau Golf & Country Club.
Foos drained a 10-foot birdie putt to win after Wang missed his attempt for a four – in what was sixth play-off in the history of the event.
The pair had finished tied on 17 under, with Foos – who started the day six behind overnight leader Sarit Suwannarut from Thailand – shooting a seven-under-par 63, while Wang closed with a 62.
The victory vaults Foos to 15th on the Order of Merit and secures a two-year exemption.

Oliver Bekker made an outrageous par save at the last to land the Nexus Advisernet Bowra & O’Dea WA Open at Mount Lawley Golf Club.
Playing on an invite this week, the South African, once ranked inside the top 100 in the world, clinched a one-stroke victory over Victoria’s joint overnight leader Cam John on a whirlwind final day that saw the lead exchange hands numerous times on a cold, wet and blustery afternoon.
Bekker (73-71-68-69) finished at 7-under-par and with an added love of Perth, where he is thinking of relocating his family.
He is the first South African winner of the WA Open since the great Gary Player in 1956.

The 27-year-old’s victory — his second on the JGTO — also earns him invitations to both The Masters and The Open Championship in 2026, following new qualification rules for national open winners.
“It’s really a dream come true for me,” said Kataoka, whose final-round 68 completed a comeback from seven shots behind.
