JGTO unveils 2026 schedule with new points-based ranking system
The Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO) has unveiled its 2026 schedule, highlighted by the introduction of a new points-based system that will be applied across all 22 events on the tour. Players will compete for a combined prize purse of nearly JPY 3 billion (approximately US$19 million).
The new system has been implemented to reduce fluctuations in player rankings caused by varying prize money levels between tournaments, including the four overseas majors.
