DAY THREE UPDATE 3.45PM

European Tour winner Lucas Herbert has moved to a share of the lead on-course during the third round of the New Zealand Open, presented by Sky Sport.

Herbert, who won the Dubai Desert Classic last month, has moved to three under today through nine holes to be 12-under for the tournament at Millbrook Resort.

He joins overnight leader Joohyung Kim, Thailand’s Pavit Tangkamolprasert and fellow Australian Ben Eccles all on 12-under midway through their rounds.

The clubhouse leader is defending champion Zach Murray who fired a five-under 66 today to move to eight-under par.

Others to move today include US Open winner Geoff Ogilvy who shot seven birdies in his round of 66 to be on six-under
